A high-power U-shaped tube that combines a long discharge path with a more compact footprint than an equivalent straight tube.

- Typical high-voltage DC requirement: 95-135 volts with compatible amplifiers
- Requires compatible 50 mm external electrodes and LC31L-ST transformer-coupler
- Do not operate vertically with the electrodes above the U curve
